The portraits present six children and young people who have been reintegrated from a special school into a mainstream school.

Matteo attended year 6 at a special school. He switched back to a mainstream school for the first year of secondary school.

Rebecca Reinhard
Rebecca transferred to Year 1 at a mainstream school after the special needs kindergarten. She was partially integrated. This means that she attended the mainstream school at the beginning of the week and the special school at the end. After a few months, the partial integration was transferred to reintegration.

After a year at a special needs kindergarten, Eldi transferred to a mainstream school. He was reintegrated into a primary school.
